Congrates to MVAC Team..

the day finally came..

i started sneezing since i woke up this morning..oh no!..that's a bad sign sey..it's either i will be sneezing the whole morning or afternoon or sneezing the whole day..for those who know me, it's not something new..if i got flu, i really can't concentrate on what i will be doing..haiz..oh no, got workshop..

for those who did not know, just now MVAC had a calligrafitti workshop at NLB..it was our first sey..wuhuu..

I met up with Hilwan and Q at around 9++am..there were some commotion about whether we could start preparing for the workshop earlier..okie, that's not important ar..i was like, uuuuhh-waahh, as we entered one of the animation rooms..it was so cool..the room itself has a cool setting..anyway, all the necessary equipments were already available, notebook, projector, mics etc..but there's this whiteboard where when you press a button, the surface where we write on will turn the other side..cool ehk..whatever..

as we prepared the room, the rest came..Sarah, Mar, Saqinah, Remy and Saddiq..

myself and Q were doing our last minute practice and i am getting worst sey..yikes!..

i was getting nervous sey..plus my nose was running away, aggravating sey..my eyes started to be watery..

then me, Q and Hilwan went out to Bras Basah to get some writing materials..i decided to follow them cause it was too cold in the library..i will be more sick if i stay much longer there..i bought something to chew..getting hungry sia..

when we reached back, Faisal was there..he's an experienced khat designer and our life-saviour..luckily he was there to help us in the khat drawing part..

as participant starts to arrive, i was getting more nervous..i didn't know why but i was..as i started writing the conversions of names to jawi script, my writing got worst..i s_ _ _ sey..i guess i need to practice more ar..

the workshop commenced soon as most of the participants were there..we were surprised that the media was there too, from BH..wah, it was like a big event sey..and yah, we were on the malay news just now at 8pm..luckily i wasn't in the picture..heh..

the session where me and Q were required to demo on the jawi writings, i told Q to lead cause i look horrible if i were to present..so the hands-on part i did help out ar..going around and guide the participants how to write using pencils..there's this teacher from Temasek JC where she asked me a lot of questions ar..questions from where to get the khat pens to how MVAC can help out with TJC's elective modules which includes learning about the history of Malay scripts..she looks young though..keh3..anyway, it was fun talking with her..

although there were some technical faults during the workshop, out of 5 popcorns, the highest we got from the participants was 4 1/2 popcorns..wuhuu..

it was a success ar and positive comments and feedbacks were given by the participants..let's give ourselves a pat on the shoulder yah..(pat, pat)..

eventhough we over-exceeded the time, we did went home with relief and smiley faces..heh..
